Madison bound Rock County commuters now have a few more options as the result of a new service developed as the result of public sector planners reaching out to the private sector.
Van Galder Commuter Express is now providing early morning non‐stop motor coach service to the Madison area from Janesville for as little as $4 per trip.
Service starts at the Van Galder Terminal at 3120 Pontiac Drive in Janesville as early as 5:45am with arrivals at Madison's Dutch Mill Park & Ride lot at I‐90 and the south beltline in 45 minutes or less. Coaches also drop off at the UW Memorial Union at 6:45am or earlier. Travel times are roughly equal to
auto travel times for the 33 mile (Dutch Mill) or 39 mile (Memorial Union) trips.
