We are notably strong in construction; light manufacturing; trade, transportation and utilities; financial services; health care; and professional services. Other markedly strong industries of the region include leisure and hospitality; education and health; and public administration.
The region also boasts some of the richest farmland in the world, reflected in our tremendous agricultural industry advances and bumper exports in dairy and dairy by-products, artisan cheeses and the notable worldwide increase in cranberry consumption.
