Community Focus: Rock County
Rock County knows that an investment in infrastructure is an investment in economic development and in quality of life. Between May 2006 to May 2007, there was approximately $15.6 million in local public infrastructure projects (roads, water, sewer, bike paths, etc.) completed/bid throughout the county.
In private utility infrastructure, Alliant Energy and American Transmission Company are investing millions into their systems throughout Rock County. For instance, ATC announced $12+ million for YR 2007-2010, while Alliant Energy is investing $8.4 million in the City of Milton alone between 2007-2010.
Rock County's focus on infrastructure is a benefit to the entire 8-county region.
