Governor Doyle Creates Wisconsin Covenant Foundation: Announces $40 Million Endowment from the Great Lakes Higher Education Corporation.
MILWAUKEE - Governor Jim Doyle today announced the establishment of the Wisconsin Covenant Foundation, along with an initial endowment of $40 million. The funding from the Great Lakes Higher Education Guaranty Corporation will be used to challenge Wisconsin businesses and philanthropists to make similar contributions to the Wisconsin Covenant and provide grants to Wisconsin Covenant Scholars to make college more affordable.
