Columbia County is conveniently located in south-central Wisconsin, bordering the Wisconsin River.

The County is just a short drive from metropolitan areas: Madison is less than an hour's drive; Milwaukee and Rockford, less than two hours, and Chicago less than four.

Columbia County has long been known for having a quality workforce. There are entry level, semi-skilled and fully skilled employees available and their work ethic is excellent. Employers reported in a survey that those employers offering strong benefit packages and relatively high wages for new workers did not report having any difficulty finding workers.
