With a friendly housing economy, beautiful valley landscapes, rewarding jobs, great access to healthcare and to larger cities, young professionals and others are returning home to Green County:
"'As an active person who loves the outdoors, I was thrilled to return to a place where we have outdoor opportunities like biking, golf and fishing right at our doorstep. I have a lot more time here as I reduced my commute from 45 minutes to five,' said Charlie Baumann, who now works for Swiss Colony. Baumann not only returned to Monroe to live, but also to work.
'When I graduated I would have bet a million dollars that I'd never live in Green County, again--after living in big and small cities all over the country, I can honestly say nowhere has more to do for me and my family. We truly feel lucky to live in such a beautiful county with such friendly people,' said Steve Moon, a graduate of the Monroe High School Class of 1985."
