Congratulations, Portage!
Portage wins this round of "what's YOUR region", with their image "Portage Thrives," a work in progress from their "Let's Paint the Town!" project. We will create a custom postcard from this image with the story of their groundbreaking project. Watch for another "what's your region" contest this fall!
Originally launched in Princeton, Kentucky, the"Let's Paint the Town!" project is a historic preservation/downtown revitalization effort that has the community rolling up its sleeves and volunteering in ways that would challenge any town in America. The goals: to enhance the downtown historic area, promote an appreciation for preservation and stimulate economic development.
Portage is the third community in America to sign on to this revolutionary project. Portage Thrives!
