Concerns about the nation's economy aren't stopping Monroe residents from celebrating the biggest industry of Green County with this weekend's annual Cheese Days. An estimated 100,000 people are expected to flood downtown Monroe for the event.
Cheese Days ontinues to grow, even while festivals nationwide are experiencing drop-offs in attendance. More visitors means more exposure for local cheese makers, like Bruce Workman, the "Master Cheese Maker" from Edelweiss Creamery, who said the event has helped his business reach new customers.
