The Watertown area's displaced workers now have a high-quality, hands-on local resource for finding their way back into the workplace.
The Workforce Development Board of South Central Wisconsin's Work Smart System cut the ribbon on its access point in Watertown today at MATC.
According to Cindy Rushbrook, the Jefferson-based community coordinator for the Workforce Development WorkSmart System of South Central Wisconsin, Work Smart Access points are centers where job seekers can go in their own neighborhoods or communities to look for jobs. There, job seekers are assisted by trained people who connect them to job center services via computers and direct referrals. At the Watertown MATC Jackie Arndt is available to provide assistance.
